The self-taught saxophonist, flutist and pianist became a fixture in New York’s free jazz scene in the 1960s. “His music was all about really how he felt, who he was, and how vulnerable he was. Guiseppi was one of those guys who was almost consumed by how much he wanted to get inside of the music. Everything else in his life was connected to this prime directive that he had.” Matt Lavelle. Guiseppi is survived by two sons, Jaee, a pianist and producer, and Joe.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Giuseppi_Logan

RIP. My very first trip to NYC as a little girl in the late 1970s I woke up in the morning to the sound of a saxophonist playing out an open apartment building window. It was raining. I’ll always associate NYC with the sound of a sax solo.
